Words, when used correctly can strengthen your relationship. But the wrong choice of words can literally damage your bond. In a nutshell, words are more like swords they can either destroy or empower you. No matter how firm your bond may seem but the truth is words have the power to either make or break your relation.

There are many things that need to be fulfilled to make your relationship successful. The surprising part is that you won’t even realize you are fulfilling those needs. But the moment you fall out of love you will soon begin to realize the efforts you put in to be nice with your partner.

Words have an invisible power that balances your bond. The words you choose and the way you say it leaves a great impact on your beloved. For instance, everyone likes compliments. But the lines you choose to compliment people make all the difference. Isn’t it?

On the contrary, if you use descriptive statements like “you are a failure”, “you can never do this thing”, “you are a loser” etc. make much deeper cuts than you have ever imagined. These types of statements leave a long lasting impression on person’s life. Couples when angry always say something without even thinking that it will hurt the other person like hell. You may not see the actual bruises but it certainly leaves marks on their subconscious mind. And eventually, they start believing in it too.

The way you speak to your beloved reflects your thinking to them. Sometimes even criticism that conveyed politely is helpful in growing. And other times even compliments can hurt you with the way they are spoken. So, it’s all about the right words.

How Do You Treat Your Partner?

To enjoy a happy and contented relationship, you need to use positive and reassuring words that can comfort your partner and makes them feel safe. For instance, if your partner is not in a great mood and you know that it's their fault, your conversation should make them feel good. You can hold your tongue and save your anger for the other day.

Analyze yourself that how you speak to your partner irrespective of the circumstances.

  • How do you behave with your partner in private? Contradicting always or listen to their views too?
  • When in public, in front of others? Respectful or opposing?
  • In the case of compliments?  Always criticizing, compliments just for the physical traits or for their overall personality that includes their work too?
  • Words used in Arguments? Are they right? Is it necessary to use? Will they hurt them? Can’t they be said in a polite manner?

Remember that words have the supreme power to heal and they can even cut deeper than a knife. So choose wisely because they can either make your relationship blossom or destroy it completely.
